Resistance Retribution is the third installment in the Resistance series although takes place between the first two PS3 titles. It follows the story of James Grayson, an english soldure who has a chip on his shoulder and a knack for blowing stuff up. grayson is sent on a mission to blow up a conversion center (where the chimera(who are the enemy)turn humans into monsters) when he finds his brother mid conversion. the law forces James to kill his own brother sending him into a hate spiral to every1 and everything. Deserting the army, he sets off on a conversion center blow up run where he manages to flaten 28 of the shit-holes B4 geting captured by HIS army. Desersion being a capital offence during a time of war James is sentanced to death via firing squad before getting relesed to help out with the war in paris.Thats just the opening cut scene.
now B4 i go on i have to tell you that this game is definatly not for kids. it has more strong language and violence then than the GTA series and some nudity scenes as well. :)
Graphics
The eye candy in this game is something from the future for the PSP. it is just always good, all the time! theres not much more i can really say..........
......oh yeah, the graphics are the coolies!
Audio
i have played, and finnish the "best" game for the PSP and that was Syfin filter. the game was good, it brang some new ideas to the table and it dealed with some serious issues. Syfin filter was created by Sony's Bend Studeos, which happen to be the same company that made Retribution. the one thing that let Syfin filter down was the audio and that was sad. UNLIKE in R.R where the audio is one of the best thing. the orkestra(however you spell it) really draws you into the moment with each task you've been given or boss you've been confronted with. its not repeditive its just swell! XD
Another huge thing is that EACH GUN HAS ITS OWN SOUND! HOW COOl IS THAT! lol
Gameplay
Gameplay wise the controls are well thought out and is handy. whats more you can see little bits of Syfin filter in the game, the ridicule is exactly the same!!!! Unlike the other Resestance games the format for retribution is third person which is my eyes is better for this type of game. the story itself is about 14 hours plus HUGE unlockability from weapons to more story for you too be enwraped into.
Multiplayer
I could write a book about how good the multiplayer is so i'll just say this....
....The multiplayer is THE BEST part of the release.
FINAL THOUGHTS
From shootink to blowink stuff up, Resistance is the best game you will find for PSP for 2009.
i was goin to rate it a 9.5 but then i remembered that theres nudity so a 10 it is!
